RADISSON FORT GEORGE HOTEL AND MARINA: PRESS RELEASE
Belize City, 2007July 9th, 2007

 

On Saturday June 30th, 2007 staff from Banquet and Catering department of The Radisson Fort George Hotel & Marina provided a formal full force service table  for the State lunch on the arrival of President Felipe Calderon of Mexico.

President Calderon and Belize's Prime Minister, Honorable Said Musa, were accompanied by 125 invited guests for this VIP event, offered in President Calderon's honor. Preparations got underway the previous day by the banqueting staff led by banqueting supervisor Shawn Gill and Director of Sales Pat Lamb.

 
An exquisite three course luncheon, prepared by Chef Karl and his team of professionals, was served by our banqueting team.  Comments of great satisfaction were passed by many delegates at the closing of the event.

Radisson Fort George Hotel and Marina promotes it's very own.

 

On July 1st 2007 The Radisson Fort George Hotel & Marina has announced that they have promoted one of their very own Managers to Food & Beverage Director.   Ms. Pamela Ann Roberts, from Belize City began working at the Fort George in November 2000 as a Receptionist.   Because of Pamela's high level of professionalism and strong motivation to serve customers she quickly excelled at her post.   Pamela was recognized numerous times through Guest Comment Cards and amongst her piers at the Fort George and given several citations and recognition awards.

Pamela's career didn't stop at one post, within the first 11 months she was quickly promoted to Front Desk Supervisor and 3 years later as Interim Food and Beverage Manager.   Since March 2004 to July 2007 she maintained the post of Food and Beverage Manager and now has been given additional responsibility as Food and Beverage Director.   The scope of her responsibility will continue in the well known dining outlets at the Fort George; The Saint George's Dining Room, Stone Grill, Baymen's Tavern, Happy Hour Deck and Le Petite Bakery.   In addition Pamela will now over see the Catering & Banquets Department where she has plans to expand the business to off property functions both private and Company requests.

We take this opportunity to thank Ms. Pat. Lamb, our Director of Sales and Marketing, who has over seen the direction of the Banqueting Department since June 25th, 2005 while we were reorganizing this department.  Pat will continue in her position as Director of Sales and Marketing.
